Behind the Voice: What Makes a Voice Attractive?<\/p>\n

\u201cShe was truly beautiful until she spoke\u201d. This is a frequently used phrase amongst our sighted counterparts. Do the blind then use the opposite approach to assess attractiveness? I conducted a recent poll on the Blind Abilities channel to determine this. I received several<\/p>\n
responses, with varying results leading me to conclude that there is some truth to this statement.<\/p>\n
Is it their tone? Their delivery? The intellect behind the voice? Or is it their vocabulary? If you are overpowered with someone\u2019s after shave does it make you deduct a few points? If they have opposing views, is their voice a little bit less attractive?\u00a0 Several participants weighed in with different opinions. Do all sighted people find the same people attractive? No, not really. There is very conflicting reports on the attractiveness of several celebrities and other well-known people. The voice that will make you swoon is a very personal matter and there is no real consensus.<\/p>\n
