Heather, having a background in disabilities, realized that Minnesota was under represented in the Disability Rights Lawyer field. She decided to take on a second career and got her license and went to work, forming her own firm,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gilbertlawpllc.com\/\">Gilbert Law<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The United Blind of Minnesota was in search of a Disabilities Rights Advocate and Heather came on board and now advocates for Minnesota residents who are Blind\/Visually Impaired through the mission of the United Blind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heather joins Jeff Thompson from Blind Abilities and talks about discrimination and how she approaches cases to get to the bottom of the problem. Whether it be a violation of the ADA or it may be just a misunderstanding, Heather works with both parties to get a solution.
