Fire departments. Schools. Even roads and highways. The census can shape many different aspects of your community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Census results help determine how billions of dollars in federal funding flow into states and communities each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The results determine how many seats in Congress each state gets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s mandated by the U.S. Constitution in Article 1, Section 2: The U.S. has counted its population every 10 years since 1790.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Susan Kusz joins Jeff Thompson in the Blind Abilities studio to let us all know about the 2020 Census and the importance of being counted and the effect the Census has on our community, county and state. How 5 or 10 minutes is all it takes to get your entire household counted in this function of our country.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Susan Kusz Chairs the Complete Census Count Committee Disability Work Group and that pretty much means that she is a Census expert and we are glad to have her here to give us a big picture view of the 2020 Census and how important you being counted is to the entire state over the next 10 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can complete the 2020 Census on the web at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/2020census.gov\/\">https:\/\/2020census.gov<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can call them by clicking on Contact Us and find the number that bests suits your question or needed service.
