Gerardo, Gera, immediately points out how important it is to first understand an overview of the political and geographic make up of his country. Mexico is comprised of 32 states,&nbsp;10 of which are controlled by one of Mexico\u2019s political parties,&nbsp;PAN which stands for Partido de &nbsp;Acci\u00f3n Nacional, or the National Action party, and the others which are controlled by the&nbsp;Morena&nbsp;party, of which Mexico\u2019s President Obrador is the party leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gera lives in the city of&nbsp;Tampico, located, in the state of Tamaulipas, which falls under the PAN party.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In general, the PAN takes a more serious approach to dealing with the Corona virus than the&nbsp;Morena&nbsp;party. As we will hear, this lack of a coordinated approach towards fighting the virus &nbsp;causes a&nbsp;significantly different Covid-19 experience in those states than in&nbsp;the&nbsp;others, and has brought considerable criticism to Mexico\u2019s President for his inadequate response to the pandemic..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Listen as Gera describes the government\u2019s plan involving a color scheme approach to the severity levels of the virus, and how it affects Mexican citizens and the BVI community. Learn about the specific restrictions in Mexico, some of which are similar to ones we have seen elsewhere in this series, but some of which are new and different. How is travel affected, shopping, transportation, trips to the mall, and other activities so customary to Gera\u2019s daily routine?
