Donna is a multi-talented individual, an author, entrepreneur and an advocate for the &nbsp;blind and visually impaired.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now Donna is &nbsp;rebranding herself as a sight loss coach, aiming at helping people who are experiencing sight loss to \u201c&#8230;become more comfortable in their new type of world\u2026\u201d, to become independent and fully functional. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adding to her long list of credentials as author, entrepreneur and advocate is Donna\u2019s unique perspective on sight loss, having been born&nbsp;with very little vision, regaining her vision later in life, only to&nbsp;lose it again as a result of a detached retina.&nbsp;As Donna puts it, she is&nbsp;\u201c &#8230;back on the other side of the fence again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donna will be providing&nbsp;coaching to those experiencing sight loss, which is particularly important during the pandemic, as folks need to know that they can deal with it and overcome it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donna has authored an audio detective series which aired on the&nbsp;Accessible&nbsp;Media Inc. (AMI) network in Canada; she is an entrepreneur, and has been a strong advocate for the blind and visually impaired for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donna also shares her&nbsp;experience on a variety of topics ranging from&nbsp;confidence in blindness skills, to cooking, and advice for prospective authors, encouraging them to, \u201cgo out there and try, because you never know what will happen.\u201d Donna&nbsp;herself realized numerous new opportunities as a result of&nbsp;developing her audio mystery series, \u201c DJ detective and the crime crashers\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donna became an advocate for the blind when she realized she was not able to navigate and apply for a job on the Canadian jobs web site. She fought a long hard legal battle to affect much needed changes to the web site and finally initiated enactment of legislation in 2019 to codify these changes. but now she is handing off the baton &#8211; issuing a challenge, laying down the gauntlet to young people across Canada pronouncing that \u201cit&#8217;s time for others to step up to the plate&#8230; It\u2019s time for the youngsters to move forward, it\u2019s their future.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donna is also collaborating with an old friend of the Blind Abilities podcast, John Panarese&nbsp;to provide coaching and training. John is the&nbsp;owner of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/macfortheblind.com\/\">Mac For The Blind<\/a>, a web site where you can find training, audio tutorials and other valuable resources to help hone your skills on all things Apple. in fact, Donna has earned the Apple certified service provider (ACSP) certification as a result of working with John.
