A Variety of Ways to Use Music Recognition and that Magical App Shazam"},"content":{"rendered":"<!--powerpress_player--><div class=\"powerpress_player\" id=\"powerpress_player_1464\"><audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-6971-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/traffic.libsyn.com\/secure\/blindabilities\/MusicRecognition.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/traffic.libsyn.com\/secure\/blindabilities\/MusicRecognition.mp3\">https:\/\/traffic.libsyn.com\/secure\/blindabilities\/MusicRecognition.mp3<\/a><\/audio><\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Podcast Summary:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Have you ever spent time listening to music, only to run across a song where you just can\u2019t recall its title, or the artist who wrote or performed it? &nbsp;Blind Abilities presents a demonstration of the music recognition feature in iOS which is a handy and really cool feature that allows you to quickly identify songs and artists that you &nbsp;hear around you, and even songs that are playing on your own phone or tablet. in fact, there are a few quick and easy ways to find out this information, and that\u2019s exactly what we\u2019ll be reviewing today. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Picture yourself in a boat on a river, or out in the car listening to the radio, in a store hearing music from speakers in the ceiling, or listening to a &nbsp;music streaming service or any other source of music where you hear a song playing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this demonstration, Pete Lane demonstrates how to use the Shazam app to capture and process the audio, and fill you in on its title, composer and performer. He &nbsp;walks us through how to ask Siri to identify the information about music you might hear around you, or even on your own device.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, imagine you are scrolling through YouTube, Dropbox or another streaming app on your phone, and a random song plays that you are &nbsp;unfamiliar with. here you can simply open your control center and tap on the music recognition widget and get the information you want.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>how do I place a music widget in my control center you might ask? well it\u2019s easy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Go to settings on your Home Screen and perform a single-finger double-tap.<\/li><li>Flick down to control center and do another single-finger double tap.<\/li><li>Flick to Music Recognition and double tap on \u201cInsert Music recognition\u201d. This will add it to the Control Center.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two easy ways to open the Control Center to invoke Music Recognition or for any other reason. First, place your finger in the Status Bar which is the thin strip that runs across the top of each screen on your device. Then you can do either:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Run one finger down the screen from the top of the page until you hear the first of two audible clicks.
