Dave is also quite proud of the extended handle which is 16 inches rather than the traditional 9 inches we see on our regular canes, and slides up or down the shaft giving the cane up to 10 inches variation in length and flexibility depending on the terrain and our height. . This also gives us more flexibility when facing different slopes and angles of ascent and descent in our travels.

Join Jeff and Pete and their dynamic guest, Dave Epstein as he describes the details and steps he has taken to create and develop this extra special cane that will meet our every travel need and take us where we need to go, safely!

Dave also offers other gear besides the ATC. On his web site, you will also find unusual and appealing T Shirts designed to identify blind walkers or hikers with unique designs and graphics which will definitely help you stand out as a blind traveler adding a layer of safety to your outings.

Be sure to set aside 30 minutes of your valuable time to check out this fascinating and rewarding interview with Dave Epstein and his useful new travel tool, the All-Terrain Cane.

Contact Your State Services

If you reside in Minnesota, and you would like to know more about Transition Services from State Services contact Pre-ETS Program and Transition Services Coordinator Shane DeSantis by email or 651-358-5205.

Contact:

You can follow us on Twitter @BlindAbilities
On the web at www.BlindAbilities.com
Send us an email and give us a call at 612-367-6093, we would love to hear from you!

Get the Free Blind Abilities App on the App Storeand Google Play Store.

Give us a call and leave us some feedback at 612-367-6093 we would love to hear from you!

Check out the Blind Abilities Community on Facebook, the Blind Abilities Page, and the Career Resources for the Blind and Visually Impaired

https://traffic.libsyn.com/secure/blindabilities/AWareWolfGear.mp3

https://traffic.libsyn.com/secure/blindabilities/AWareWolfGear.mp3 Podcast Summary: Our guest today is Dave Epstein, founder of AwareWolf Gear, the home of the All-Terrain Cane.
